Who I am
My name is Cheryl O’Day, and I have over 25 years of experience working as a family law paralegal assisting senior partners in all aspects of family law, including complex property division, trial preparation, mediations, depositions, discovery, inventories and drafting documents. I have heavy litigation experience. I have been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2007.
I work remotely as a 1099 contractor and can assist you and your firm from case initiation through trial, for both long- and short-term projects, as needed, without the long-term commitment of a full-time employee.
I have a team of paralegals with years of experience who assist me so that we get the job done quickly and efficiently the first time.
I live with my husband, Terry and Labrador puppy “Moose” in a boating community on Galveston Bay which inspired the name “Bayside Paralegal Services”. When I am not working in the legal field, I am assisting my husband with his retail fishing tools business and working at trade shows. My favorite time of day is watching the incredible sunrises over Galveston Bay and Moose loves to watch the birds!
